Join us this month for our luncheon and keynote speaker, Art Bernstein's talk, “Quarters that honor a change: a presentation that makes cents.”
Despite the introduction of digital money, physical coinage is still widely in use. Many of us, or our kids, have collected coins including “State Quarters” over the years. Currently the U.S. Mint is issuing new quarters honoring notable American women. This presentation will discuss who is being honored, how the designs were selected, what designs were rejected, and why George Washington is facing the other way.
About Art Bernstein:
Art Bernstein, a resident of Los Altos Hills, and an appointee of the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury—serving on the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee of the U.S. Mint as a representative of the general public. Art has also been the chief operating officer of both the Hopkins Carley and Tucker Ellis law firms.
Lunch will be catered by Table & Terrace.
