Monthly Luncheon

This month, our guest speaker is Bert George, President & CEO of Joseph George Distributors. 

Bert will discuss the wine business from 1943 to the present, as well as current wine trends. He will trace his family’s extraordinary history and share how they have grew to become a premier wine distributor in the Bay Area. 

About Bert George:
A proud San Jose native and third-generation wine professional, Bert George was born and raised in the heart of the Valley, graduating from Willow Glen High and San Jose City College. Bert was born into the business that was started by his grandfather, Joseph George, in 1940. His father, Glenn George grew the business exponentially into the largest Liquor, Wine and Beer company in Northern CA. He began working for the family business at age 10 and now serves as President & CEO of Joseph George Distributors. With over four decades of experience, he’s also a dedicated grape grower in the Napa Valley and a license holder with both the NHL and NHS. He and his wife of 43 years, Cyndie, are proud parents to their daughter Ashley.
